PoAD’s mission is to inspire the formation, building, and placement of iconic monuments through community building and thought leadership of future Black creators.

The PoAD objective is to build community through collaborative partnerships with allies and advocates. Together, PoAD commits to presenting informative and educational programming that is scalable.

The Pavilion of the African Diaspora (PoAD) is a 501c3.

I wasn’t born into a country
I wasn’t born under a flag.
The lines drawn were not of my making
I was born into a state of mind
A state of mind that unites
all of us scattered to every shore
I was born into a beautiful struggle
A struggle for a place
A struggle for identity.
A struggle to fit into a system of definitions designed
to relegate me to the status of battery
A battery for commerce
A battery for culture
A battery for pleasure
A battery that has been sucked dry.
A battery in need of charge.
